You heard Barmore wasn’t afraid of the mob and he detoured down to Pulaski where he infiltrated powerful bootleggers at a bonfire meeting on Richland Creek near the location of the current Hillcrest Country Club.

You heard Barmore was waylaid when the train’s crew working for organized crime stopped the train in Columbia where Barmore was removed from the train, hung, then shot, and his body dumped in the Duck River.
