The Blue Bayou serves family-style multi-course meals. With the staff in railroad attire, guests are often entertained with multi-media vignettes of railroad history and folklore. Although this uniquely refurbished 1924 railway car never leaves the Lumberyard, it is truly an immersive experience of music, lights and videography all staged to compliment the evening's destination/bill of fare.
vegetarian winter feast - Date to be announced
Since chef Ruth returned to us from Oregon late last year, she has been anxious to share some of the vegetarian inspired dishes she discovered in Portland. Join us on Thursday January 24th for an opportunity to try some of the delicious dishes she has been working so hard on since she has returned.
Chipotle Black Bean Hummus
w/ fried corn, avocado, garlic chips, jalapeno crema, pico de gallo,
cilantro salad, shredded Tillamook Cheddar and served with salted Masa
Shaved Brussels Sprouts Salad w/ parmasean fillo crisps
Buckwheat Stuffed Winter Squash w roasted butternut squash and pickled
cherry pepper sauce. Served with pomegranate seeds, charred red onions,
crushed roasted peanuts and chive oil.
Classic Vanilla Cake with ginger and brown sugar simple syrup. Served with
lemon creme anglaise.
Destination Ticketing - $65/per person Boarding at 6:30 (please allow 90 minutes)
Themed dinners are scheduled several times a month, with offerings announced first through email (sign up below). Tickets can be purchased here (with an added online convenience fee) or calling our restaurant at 256-715-7130 Ext. 1.
Each booth holds 6 people. When purchasing tickets please note the party’s name you would like to sit with. If no party name is listed, you will be assigned to sit with other guests.
Each dinner run has 36 tickets available and ticket sales close the day before boarding time.
Some excursions may have age restrictions, check before purchasing.
