Rent the Blue Bayou for an event:
The Blue Bayou is available for private parties booked in advance through the Lumberyard Private Events Department only. To reserve the Blue Bayou for a private party, patrons must buy out the maximum 36 normal meal tickets for their preferred allotted meal time (even if it is only a party of 25). Expanding beyond allotted meal times, (one hour and forty-five minutes), incurs additional costs. Prices also vary depending on the meal.
While the Blue Bayou will feature a unique pre fixed menu each day of operation, patrons reserving the space for a private event will have the ability to choose from any of our six menu options for their event. Prices can vary depending on the meal (No steak night on Friday’s or Saturday’s?). No substitutions to the menus will be permitted, though a la carte meals for children or those with dietary restrictions/allergies can be purchased and served alongside the rest of the service items.
The Blue Bayou bar features a 100 year-old converted pump organ with a marble top, adding elegance to any private event. Outfitted with the best of the best, clients will have the option to provide an open bar for guests during their event or reserve the services of our trained bartenders for a cash bar. Selections will vary based on restaurant inventory. Special requests may be subject to an additional fee. Open ended tab (must be paid at the end of the event). For cash bars, the bartender fee is quoted hourly with a minimum spend.
Technological elements (laptop slide shows) must output video and sound through HDMI. Wireless microphones are also available.
Decorations: The Blue Bayou’s schedule only allows decorations to be carried on immediately before boarding, at most 10 minutes prior to the start of the event and removed by the pre-established event end time. Any decorations causing delays in train schedules can garner cash penalties. Check with our event staff to be sure you don’t plan to use prohibited items such as: Glitter, Tape, Thumbtacks or pins, and candy or chocolate.
Alterations: The Blue Bayou is an experiential dining space and may, at times, be decorated to reflect a specific promotion, holiday or season. Altering these decorations in the train may add additional fees. Any alterations to the scripted show (outside of omitting the show entirely) will be assessed on a sliding scale beginning at $100.
50% of the rental fee must be paid up front at the time of booking. The balance must be paid no less than 30 days prior to the event date. Any reservations less than 30 days before the event must be paid in their entirety at the time of booking. Deposit payments are non-refundable after 3 days. A credit card is kept on file for late payments or damages. Late payments will be automatically charged with a late fee totaling 20% of the outstanding payment three days after original due date.
